So lucky us, the weather here in Texas has been weird, windy and rainy. During the winter months it was colder than normal and now that it’s spring, we’ve had some wicked hot and humid days. I can’t even imagine summer in Texas…you’d have to live in your AC cooled house or trailer because being outside just means you sweat non stop. We’ve had a few days like that, it’s gross.
Last week was like that, hot, humid and serious storms that dropped 10” of rain in just hours in Houston, flooding roads all over the place, cancelling flights etc. Here we got 4 inches plus of rain in a very short period of time. The ground is already so saturated there’s no where for the water to go.
This is the field across from our trailer….there’s not normally a lake in it.
And this is the RV park road, not normally a river.
Most of the flooded areas have receeded but the ground is still squishy. Here’s a few more pics from around town.
Getting ready to move a bit west and north and start heading home later this week. Looking forward to some different scenery and to exploring some new places.
