Vanessa & Stuart’s wedding

The  newlyweds and their parents

Glad that we made it back to Ontario in time for Vanessa (our niece) & Stuart’s wedding. It was held on the country property (just outside of Newmarket) of her parents (Dave’s brother Al and his wife Gloria).

The weather co-operated the week before the big day so that guys could build the wedding hall (on the driveway) and the girls could decorate the structure. It’s amazing what you can do with scrap lumber, a giant size canvass Levi’s jeans ad, some double bed sheets and scrap material from good will. Talk about a creative crew, the results were amazing. Check out the pictures!

Mother nature gave them the gift of a perfect day weather wise and Vanessa looked gorgeous, her dress was beautiful! Stuart looked very sophisticated in his tux with tails and top hat.

It was the perfect opportunity for us to visit and catch up with our relatives on Dave’s side and meet Stuart’s family and friends from England.

Excellent company, great food, good party...but just a little too much to drink. The next day I had one of the worst hangovers I’ve had in a long, long time...and I wasn’t the only one!!!  Misery loves company right? :-) Won’t be doing that again for a long, long time.
