Hey y’all! Sure hope all my Candian friends ( At least those in Ontario) have been enjoying the warm (finally!) weather. Goodbye cold spring, hello summer! Gotta love 30C days in May but it takes some getting used to when you’re working in the garden. Speaking of the garden, look at the HUGE (50ft x 32ft) my SIL and I planted last week. We have just about everything planted in it and the lettuce and radish seeds are already coming up. This heat is definately helping things grow!
Back to Instagram!
So…. all you friends and family who have been bugging me to get on social media, I finally caved and created an instagram account about a month ago to see what it’s all about. I know, pick your respective jaws up off the floor! :-) I’m planning to use it to share more of my creative side….things and pictures I don’t typically post here, maybe a little overlap from time to time.
I turned to the dark colourful side in Jan 2018 when we were travelling. Thought I’d see what the adult colouring craze was all about and I have to say I’m a little bit addicted. I find it a great way to pass the time on those days that are too cold and rainy to do anything else. Still a newbie at it but find it really statisfies my creative urges, I always liked art as a kid and in high school. Plus there are sooooo soooo many talented colourists out there to be inspired by. Had no idea there was such a huge online community of them. Also tons of You Tube videos to learn from so we’ll see where this hobby takes me.
This is one of my favourite pieces so far, it’s a page from Johanna Basford’s Magical Jungle. Done with watercolour pencils.
Have also been into Zentangling for a few years now but only off and on. Trying to get back into it again by participating in a weekly challenge hosted by www.iamthedivaczt.com
