Wow was July 2011 in Ontario HOT! Highs in the 30C’s just about every day and almost 40C on the 21st. Glad we were able to cool off in Lake Huron for a few of those days. Check out the BLOG!

On this stretch of Brights’ Grove shoreline, the steel groins actually did what they’re supposed to...build a good beach. Almost as nice as it was when I was a kid.

Here, not so much.....these steel groins are just ugly eyesores!

A perfect day to SUP. Lake Huron was crystal clear and FLAT!

I was hoping he’d fall in but he managed to keep his balance.

Taking the easy way out...kayaking instead of standing

Next day we went again but looks are deceiving. The water looks flat but there were rolling swells. Hard to keep balanced and the rocking motion made me a wee bit queasy!

Dave couldn’t stand up on these swells so he opted for the kayak option.

Yes, that’s 100 F on Ruth’s back deck, in the shade! Record breaking temps this day.

Their lawn was hurtin’ from the heat....crispy, brown and hard on the bare feet!

Washing the trailer...took forever

Cleaning the rubber roof took forever, but it’s our home so a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do. But my question is....why is this a girl job???
