BLUE & MAGGIE - A pair of sweet, laid back girls!
Hi Y’all! We’re house sitting this weekend in Hillsborough, NC for a couple, Chris and Jeff, we just met last week via one of the house sittings sites we’ve signed up with.
This place is dog and cat HEAVEN for us! 2 dogs, 2 cats on a country property that anyone who knows us will be able to tell by the pictures that it reminds us a lot of our old farm. Plus the animals here love attention and we have tons to give. Yesterday afternoon I was out on the deck reading and had very little of my chair left since it was being hogged by Maggie (lab/Shep X) and Tristan (cat) who was all curled up on my chest. Loving every minute of it and the weather has been perfect. Today it was hot and sunny and it was supposed to be record breaking temp of at least 76F.
Prior to coming here we spent 4 nights in Virginia Beach, Virginia. It was pretty deserted at this time of year except for the die hard surfers. In the peak of summer, this place must be a zoo and great for people watching. It’s also one of the most bike friendly places we’ve been to so far. We spent Hallowe’en on a 4 hr. bike ride around the area and then went out to dinner by the ocean to celebrate a year of being “trailer trash” (NO REGRETS!) When we left VA Beach, we headed further south to New Bern, North Carolina and managed to hit a nice stretch of sunny, but cooler days. Good for hiking in the Croatan National Forest. Also added walking (not swimming, water cold!) on the beaches of Emerald Isle on the outer banks to our list of places we’ve been. Check out the NC ALBUM.
Next stop, don’t know exactly where yet but somewhere south. Gonna miss these furballs!
