We’ve been waiting for 2 weeks for there to be no clouds over the volcanos when we woke up and finally, today, mother nature cooperated. When that happens, if you get there early in the morning, odds are you’ll get a good view of the crater. Clouds typically roll in later in the day.
So we managed to get organized quickly enough to leave the house by 6:30 am and once we made it thru the San Jose traffic, it was a quick drive up to Poas. Got there at 8:15 and the visibility was perfect!
Finally got to see the Botos Lagoon in the dormant crater and the view of Poas was perfectly clear. When we were here 2 years ago, we didn’t see the lagoon at all and we just got a glimpse of Paos.
Glad we went back, got much better pictures this time.
