Bye, Bye old motor…. lots of rust on it but there’s still good parts left in it. That’s why it’s going back to the company that rebuilds them.

This is the 7th weekend fishing event that Port O’Connor hosts for wounded veterans from the Afghanistan and Iraq wars.

The warriors arrived by the busloads to the boat launch. Here every single participant got a hat and a bag full of food and drink for their day fishing.

We had fun playing in the waves but no one to take our picture actually playing in them. Gotta teach that monkey how to take pictures!

To get to Port Aransas from the north, you have to take this free ferry back and forth…..barely takes 5 minutes to cross.

We spent one afternoon fishing on this old bridge over Capano Bay but all we caught were these Gaftop Catfish. Some people love them, we’ve tried them and don’t so we gave ours away.

Indianola used to be a busy port town but in 1875, a powerful hurricane struck, almost entirely destroying the town. They rebuilt, only to be wiped out in 1889 by another intense hurricane. They didn’t rebuild.
