Cades Cove is a lush valley surrounded by mountains and one of the most popular destinations in the Great Smokies. To be honest, we found it kinda boring.

Our site for the week, woke up to frost this AM (ntice that the grass is white) it was only 27 F last night.

There are cabins on the mountains everywhere here but I think they went a bit overboard on this hillside. Do you think the people in that house on the left feel just a little bit exposed??

The Ramsay Cascades Trail head, 8 miles return trip and notice the sign…it says parking area for the trail closed on Monday, Nov 8 and the date stamp on this pic is Nov 7. Made it here just in time!
