Farm is sold!
Today was our last day at the farm....moving day.
It was a lot of hard work to get to this point (especially getting ready for the auction) and we were exhausted both mentally and physically. I think I only got an hour and half of sleep last night, Dave only a couple of hours more.
We had hoped to be out by 10am but that didn’t even come close to happening. Thankfully, the new owners were very understanding and we continued to move out as they moved in. Sherri even fed us lunch which was so nice of her. Although it was hard to leave, we felt so much lighter, like a huge weight had been lifted off our shoulders when we finally pulled out of the driveway at 4pm. We will never have so much “stuff” again!
The hardest part was leaving the animals but knowing that the new owners were keeping and taking good care of our horses and cats gives us so much peace of mind. That arrangement couldn’t have worked out better!
