We found another place to hike near Canon City but this trail system is on the north side of the town. Again it’s mostly geared to mountain bikers but hikers also welcome. The first trail head we attempted to start from was a narrow dirt path so we decided it wasn’t exactly big truck friendly and turned back to the trail head at a lower elevation. Better safe than sorry.
Managed to hike about 6 miles with only 656 ft of elevation gain. Good exercise but the scenery wasn’t as great as on the trails to the south. Here’s a few pics.
