Our first trip to Quebec City started out in Levis, across the St. Lawrence. The ferry was about $8/each return and it runs every 20 minutes. We had an awesome day checking out the sites of the historic district. Check out the BLOG!

On the ferry from Levis to Quebec. Surprised to find out that Quebec is a very popular cruise ship port.

To the west of the chateau, up on the hill is the Citadel. A huge fort that blends into the landscape. We walked up to it.

In front of the chateau, the elephant statue is by Salvadore Dali…only 3.6 million if you want it to adorn your property. I think the other one is for Samuel de Champlain.

Even though we ate breakfast before we left, had to have a savoury breakfast crepe from this little stand. It was delicious!

But once we got here found out that it was $16 each to get in so passed. Yeah we’re cheap but we’ve been in so many forts, how different could it be?
