Who knew there was a falls this big so close to Quebec City! It was about an hour drive from the RV park in Levis we were staying at so made for a nice day trip. Montmorency Falls owes it's name to Samuel de Champlain, who christened it in honour of the Duke of Montmorency, Viceroy of New France and Brittany in 1613. Check out the BLOG!

The views totally worth it….and our fear of heights seems to be less acute than it once was. That suspension bridge over the falls has us worried though.

On the far left there’s a hotel and restaurant you can walk to. On the right that small building is one of the zip line platforms.

Those cables are all for the zip lines…didn’t seem to be operational the day we went. Walking across the bridge was enough of an adreneline rush anyways.

The bridge was surprisingly sturdy, couldn’t feel it move at all which made looking down the falls easier to handle.

View out to the St. Lawrence…the bridge goes over to Ile D’Orleans. We went over to the island after finishing with the falls.

Do you Amazing Race Canada fans recongize the red and yellow clue box? These falls were one of the challenges in the final episode. Contestants had to go down cargo nets suspended from the bridge over the falls to get a clue.
