Kamourasaka is the Algonqian phrase for "Where the rushes grows on the edge of the water”. It's ranked one of the most beautiful villages in Quebec. Check out the BLOG!

About an hour drive east of Levis via Aut-20 but we took the 2 hour scenic drive on the way back. A nice day trip.

This place was the reason we came here. Some fellow travellers told us they stock up on smoked fish here. We love smoked fish so we had lunch here and got our cravings for it totally satisfied.

From what we could translate from the nearby signs this is a historic building that was also once used as a jail.

Made our way down to the river and the view of the houses from down here was impressive. And their view of the river must also be impressive.

Now this place was right on the river. Great views from the back yard but I bet all kinds of tourists gawk in the front windows which is why they have their blinds drawn…probably all the time.
