Despite the 30C plus temps and the humidity at around 40C most of our stay here we managed to get out and do some day trips in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu and Montreal. Check out the BLOG!

For the short time the path went along the road, it was very wide and paved. Beautiful homes along here.

This is one of the 8 locks manually operated by Parks Canada Staff. Each one had a little house like this for the staff to be in until a boat required them to get to work.

They sure know how to do trails in Quebec! Here in town the paths for bikes and those on foot where actually separated.

On the ride back had to wait for the bridge in town to get back in position after let a boat out into the bay.

The Fryer damm. Finished in 1938 but never was operational due to the fact that the additional dykes and the excavation of a beach near SJSR was delayed and subsequently abandoned.

No one on the beach even on a hot day…but we didn’t see anywhere to get into the water so all you’d do is bake here.

Despite the numerous shaded patios, Dave made me eat inside this restaurant where we could feel the cold air from the AC.

My sandwich was loaded with grilled veggies, excellent! Fries good too but no poutine for us. Fries, cheese and gravy not our thing!
