The trail head was on the Bow Valley Parkway. Recommended by a park ranger in the visitor centre but it sure wasn’t our favourite hike. Great exercise at almost 17K return but the mosquitos were incredibly nasty! Check out the BLOG!

The first couple of hours were a long steady climb up through a heavily wooded area and mosquitoes here were the worst yet.

Dave was almost ready to turn back after only an hour into the hike. He was getting attacked by the nastly little blood sucking bugs despite being well coated in bug repellent.
