This is a very popular pit stop right on Lake Superior just a bit south of Wawa. Nice beach to sit on and sock up the sun but way too cold for swimming.

This was such a gorgeous day….

Until we went to leave and the truck wouldn’t start. No cell reception either so forget about calling CAA. Luckily another big truck stopped in and we got a boost.

But that boost lasted all of 10 minutes and then the entire truck died…we barely had time to pull off of the highway. Absolutely no cell reception here, we’re screwed….or so we thought.

Luckily I managed to flag down a couple who had ONSTAR in their car so I was able to call CAA from it. 3 hours later the tow truck arrived with another truck so Dave used it to tow our trailer.

The tow truck carrying our big, heavy F350 truck was working EXTREMELY hard to go up the hills on the highway en route to the Soo so he had us both pull over to let the trucks cool off. Nice spot!
