This is the highest volcano in Costa Rica with the summit at just over 11,250 feet. Check out the BLOG!

Typically it’s cold this high up but we were perfectly comfortable in shorts and tanks

You start off by walking along the edge of the crater and later, you can hike up the left side of the mountain and view the area from the summit….later you’ll see pics from where the arrow is pointing.

You can just barely see the lake down there…it’s just under the sighn, for you non spanish speaking people, Depth is 300 meteres, diameter is 1.050 meteres.
